Back To School | What’s Your Story? Activity

Start off your year with this fun get-to-know-you activity! Students will create a visual representation of their life and explain it to the rest of the class. There are two versions of the instruction sheet: one using technology and one that does not.

After the class has viewed the slides, use the reflection questions to encourage students to see the similarities among themselves and build your classroom community.

Continue to build on this activity throughout the year with the student-generated questions. Every student will write several questions they want to know about other students. Pull one out when you have those “extra” minutes or use them as a weekly “student spotlight” activity. This is a yearly favorite with students!
